Yippie.

I'm happy that the post on facebook about my blog update, not only worked, but also some people actualy viewed my blog. You can tell I don't get very many people on my blog, if any at all. So that made me a little happy.

I did get some recomendations for my blog about it's apperance. Hopoefully the new font color works and suites you.

News on my blog search to change from Blogger- I have found a site that seems to be more cleaned up than Blogger and offers some things that Blogger doesn't have. That is what I like about it. What I don't like about it is that it is not as customizable as Blogger. I'm not sure if I'm actually going to switch. If I do, it will be my last blog switch, much to some peoples annoyance of change.

We'll see, though.

Moving

Not physically. Just my blog.

I realize this is pretty insignificant to the very few who actually view this blog but thats alright. That's not the reason I might be moving.

Reason- I thought it would be interesting to explore the web in search in a better, maybe more advanced blog machine than Google's Blogger. Not that I don't like it. Maybe there is a better blog-type for me.

Of course there is the possibility that I won't change my blog. That is always a possibility if my search doesn't turn any cranks for me.

Indeed, if I do find a a new blog site I will make it a point not to leave all 'yins in the dark. All you two people.

Chow seniors and senoritas.

Last Game of the Season, Lakeview vs. Salem

Going down in a blaze of glory! Yeah...62-12. We lost. But on the brighter side we have already won next week's game since East Liverpool's coach is possibly being fired which will force them to forfiet the game. So we won!

Our season- 1-9. Terrible huh? Actually the pain is not so bad once you and the rest of the community become dumb and deaf to the pain of defeat.

Ach...Lakeview's band was awesome. I should say extremely awesome. Usually a large band will lack in sound and individual posture. But these guys defied that law! I was very impressed.

Looking forward towards this Tuesday's band show.

Wow, I'm such a nerd.

Anthem Essay Contest

This morning during the announcements at school they were listing off names of different scholarships avaliable for application in the school guidence office. The only one avaliable for my age bracket was an essay contest of the book Anthem by Ayn Rand, a female writer of the 30's and 40's. The book, Anthem, is mainly a collection of poems. Ruth Alexander, a Libertarian lecturer said Anthem is "Tender and terrific- the greatest novel I have ever read, and I have covered the literary water front in seven languages. You will think- you will weep- you will be inspired to new determination not to let the creeping evil of collectivism happen here."

Interesting.

The grand prize of first is %2000, five second prizes worth $500, ten third prizes $200, forty-five finalists $50, and lastly $30 for semifinalists. Even though I am competing for who knows how many high school freshman and sophmores the odds of gaining at least a little cash is inevtiable.

However, though this is all tempting and personally exciting for myself I will keep my heart open to any misconcpetions that may be found in Anthem. I will keep a constant lookout for anything that may be the opposite of God and His Word.

Though I am hopefull for this essay.

Beaver Local vs. Salem

Gah, yet again another defeat looms over our football team and school. I had high hopes for this game because, from what I was told, Beaver Local is not the best team ever (no offense for my friends in Beaver Local of course) and I was suspecting this would be a good match-up.

Apparently not.

Any way, it was our last away game of the season. I am particularly happy, in some ways, because I favor home games more. At home games, we, the band, are able to do all this extra stuff as a band that we would not be able to do at an away game. Such as marching down to the field, pre-game, etc. Plus, you are familiar with your surroundings which in turn makes me more comfortable.

Struthers vs.Salem

Yippie! We almost won last night! As asinine as the latter may sound it was atcually a pretty good game. A few times during the night there were exciting high moments when we were winning or about to tie. Alas, though, we lost by a touchdown and a field goal. But it must have been one of the most enjoyable games this season considering we're 0-7. Sigh.

Being the major band geek that I am, I suppose last night was one of our best preformances alongside the football team's. I feel that I myself did a great job, in contrast to the previous games and shows, but overall the whole band sounded and looked fantastic from what others were saying.

I am very excited about our new director, Mr. Mike Carden. Though more that nintey-five percent of the band cannot agree. People just do not give him their respect and consideration. It makes me rather upset that after going through a year of "hell", in certain terms, that I must listen to these childish and imature complaints. Most of them are from the upper-classman who are supposedly more "mature" than I or other lower-classmen. In fact, if I seen a bit rash about this it is because I have very strong feelings not only for band but music itself.

In high school, every kid has their "thing." Well band is mine, so naturally I applaud any positive change the director wants to make. Which would be trying to make us actually good. The previous guy never bothered with that, for goodness sakes!

See You At The Pole.

Ah yes...that time of the year when the teenagers of the nation climb out of their comfort shells, if only for a minutes, to gather together as believers in Christ to join in prayer for fellow students, teachers, school, and nation. Though it may only be a short time of "public" actions to share their faith, it must be credited for them to do this.

I, unfortunately, am like many of these students. We become cowering quakes of a form when asked about their faith, to give a prayer, or anything to do with religion. But why all the nervousness?

I see this national crisis as a lack of bonds. There seems to be no ties between the Christians of the schools. But what we must see is that we can most definitely not take the school by our own individualities. Even if we confront God with an asking heart of spiritual victory we are still lacking the positive of fellowship. Without this, we are hopeless.

Granted, God still may and will work in miraculous ways at school or wherever your battleground is. But we humans cannot function without the support of others and team work.

I am planning to propose this idea to all who attend the SYATP Rally tomorrow morning. What will be asked is this; that we all bond together and agree that this world is failing. That we cannot do this alone. And that if we attempt to reach others, we will most likely fail.

This, my friends, is what I see as a need for us. To fight together with God as our fuel and strength and our friends as our comrades.

Dead in Deadly Eyes.

To the World I am dead.
One who is a drone among the other dead drones.
I have no purpose to the World except that to inch the World ever further to its own demise.
I eat, then die.
With some cracks of a few smiles, I drudge on to my fate of the grave.
Minus a few minor happenings, my life has no grandiose encounters of joy, whatsoever.
Yet, even the minor happenings are only that of a short season.
To the World all my works should be displayed only under a thick carpet.
I have no name.
Nor do I have a vision.
Though the World may try to teach me otherwise, their joyless faces show that they too are dead in speaking lies.

But to Him who lives...

..as do I.
For my life is not a shriveled piece of snake skin.
It is, in fact, a powder keg of joy and Truth of which I pray that may ablaze those who are dead to the World.

New Stuff

This is probably, in contrast to all previous posts, a very informal entry. I suppose the others, perhaps, are a bit dry and in too broad of a spectrum.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to share in a more relaxed tone tonight.

Tomorrow, I better speak to the Spanish teacher at the school. I'll need to take a quite crash course on the language. As you know (my only reader...PM...*cough*) we'll be heading for Mexico this summer. I am much excited about this.

Not only will this empower me with a small, yet larger than Toledo, view of what those in the world must face daily, it will, I believe will also encourage me in my faith and my upcoming years as an adult in the career and/or ministry field. Just look what happened at the last missions trip I attended!

(plus, won't San Diego be nice that time of year?)

Love in Truth.

I ask you this: how is your response to those who oppose the Truth?
Do you become angry towards them?
Thrust hatred?
Do you curse them under your breath because of their blindness?
Or do you posses the tameness we ought to have when socializing with such people?
For Christ taught us to love them, not hate.
For if Christ did not teach teach such thing, what would have beeen the point of his earthly coming?
For if Christ hated the sinner, you to would only find grief.

But what we must realize is that this love we then posses should not be seen by others and especially ourselves as a propaganda tool.
If this be true, then the Truth would be based upon the wealth and support of its believers, not the faith it shall hold.

But the Truth is based upon faith.
Therefore our love towards the World should be based on compassion, not greed.

Though love is more effective than force and might be seen by others as an effective recruting strategy, He still uses it because that is what He is.
Not because of the need and want of power.
For He is already powerful!
So then why would He have a wanting for more?

Abrupt Message.

When the curtains fall in your life and the world falls blind to your soul, you only have you and yourself to keep company.

But you must realize that this can change. Your lonelyness is not brought on by the World, but by ourselves. He is the only one who may take this mistake of ours and mold it into something only We can contemplate.

I urge you to pursue what you are in dire need of.

The Proof.

When people look upon me worst fear is that they will see a creature who needs pity and special attention due to his recent past.
This is not my will, or God's for that matter, that the World will see me this way.
I believe, as of this current day, I am too be an inspiration.
God has healed me!
What more proof do you need?

But first, let me say that I am not forcing glory and attention upon myself through these happenings.
In doing so would equal that of a foolish and cowardly deed.
For my only goal is to give Him the glory.

When I speak of my life and myself, this is not my doing but God's.
For without God I would be someone who only awakes to greet the night.

They ask for proof of God.
Well here it is!
This proof you are seeking is the very one who is writing to you.
If it strikes you as unsophisticated to assemble such a simple answer in such a simple sentence, then I am truely sorry.

For God does not reveal Himself for us humans to argue, scratch our heads, and gain headaches.
He does this to show who He is.
Not who you think He should be.

Why must this be so difficult, you say?
This is my purpose.
To show the World that God may show Himself in the most coincidental and/or 'simple' ways.

I will accept no other feat than of which I have brought before you.

Facade is of Foolish Actions.

Too many of us may look north while still glance south.
Yet again, I approach what indecencies us Truth Followers allow to eat at our frail and delicate soul.

For a wise one knows when such things may creep up on him.
He has a much better chance of victory than of a fool.

When around the wise do you 'become' wise?
When around fools do you 'become' foolish?
To say yes to both, this would be dishonest.
For you are either truely foolish or truely wise.
Not both at same pace.
For it is morally impossible to become both.

If you are truely foolish but act wise, then you are most defenitely foolish for making this choice.

If you are truely wise and act foolish, then you, like the previous scenario, are foolish.
You cannot be truely wise yet truely foolish.

We have allowed the sin of the World to cause decay in ourselves.
For the World teaches that we may be two-faced.
They say it is morally perfect and justified to choose this pathway as long as we feel it will lead us to the Prize.

But be warned, from what He says; if you attempt to become facade, you will surely be spit up.

So do not hold back, for your sake. Give your very all to Him. Then He will allow you to see the broader image that is this Truth He speaks of.

Challenge of the Ones Who Have Found the Truth.

Look at yourself.
You are a mess and in shambles.
Your life is in a crazy nose dive.
You have bee lifted but now you are reurning to who you once were.
Do you not see the error of this?
What will it take for you to be convinced of the Truth?
Again.

You asked Him for a miracle and proof.
So He gave you one.
But yet you slap the face of your Savior.
Again.

Though you are human, this is not a legitimate excuse.
For the One who is here is with you.

Your offense of the opposer is weak.
So to is your defense.
Then why do you constantly fail?
But be sure of this, time is of the essance, but there is time to reconcile.

Do not let go.
Do not give up.
For He is with you!

Do not attack the opposer with the force of a miniscule rodent.
Do as a lion!
For the one who opposes all that is True, is also as a lion.
But much more fierce than you and I.

For if we fight alone, we will most certainly and utterly fail every time.
So call on Him!
For God's comfort is as peaceful as of the morning.
But to Him at your aide He is more than ten-thousand lions.
Comfort in the opposer you will find not.
Only the comfort of toil, grief and uncertainty will haunt you.

I speak to myself as well in all of this and also when I say, "never move your sight one inch off the target of which we live to strive for. So...will you challenge yourself of this?"

of Bantam Size.

When you look at yourself in a mirrior, what do you see?
Your shell.
Your outer being.
Most will continue nonstop about how to pamper your inside rather than your outside.
I see this as a crime.
Yes, your spiritual health is the most important thing about you, but your shell is still of some slight importance.

Many a time, the things on paper (not refering to what He says) only tell of the baby steps to fueling your spiritual life.
Rarely is outside change ever mentioned or the hard, raw in depth instances of being a Truth Follower.
Change shold be applied to every aspect of our lives to become what we ought to be.
Change on the the inside and the outside.

For if we do not change our outer selves, how will we reflect the change that has happened on the inside?
Opposing forces cannot live side by side.
Either side must change to the other.

For He tells us that our actions will reflect our soul.
When applied to this situation, this may not be instant.
To be a Truth Follower we must mold ourseleves and be also molded by Him (which is the same when in correct context).
We must be constantly working at ourselves.
So that we may not shape back to the lifetyle of before.

N.P. Reed

The Marks of Differentiation

Many see us Truth Followers as ones who are quiet the opposite of what they ought to be.
They see us as an army of drones and look-a-likes.
I laugh at the irony of this.
For the ones who mock us as drones and clones are ones who they themselves are of the same liking!
For they are of the World (we know this from what He has told us).

In exchange for following the teachings of the World, they carry with them a stench.
This oder I speak of in the spiritual may radiate out of many vents in the human soul out into the world.
However, they are not apparent to their own foul smell that surrounds them.
It does me well for me to know that I need not worry of my own 'fragerance.'
For God posses a quality that can actually draw Unbelivers to Him!
For when a World Follower sees a kind or passionate deed done by a Truth Follower, they become attracted and curious to the fragerance of our soul.
For God gives us many gifts.
One of which all Truth Followers posses is the smell of one who truely cares for the rotten filfth of the world, this smell I speak of.
Even though the World may have this foul stench, we will still approach with the utmost love and kindness we once had brought before us.

This is why we spiritually check ourselves.
Do we radiate of the World or of the Truth?
I pray it be the senior choice of the two.

For your sake.

N.P. Reed

Adult as of the Child.

I have been loved but have been hurt.
Even though this life is filled with troubles, we must still keep the thoughts and feelings of a child.
For a child is, as the World portrays, the most naive group in the human race.
This is not true, though.
For we always view adulthood as the mature ages where we cannot be easily misleaded.
This is not true, either.
Is a child still not as vulnerable as an adult?
With this we also contemplate and challenge ourselves with the idea that an adult may fall into sin as easily as a child may fall into danger.
Which is virtually the same concept.
But as a child looks up to an adult for comfort, attention and saftey so an adult should look up to heaven for the same.
For being senior in age does not mean we are invincible.

To back away from the LORD's love and advice is to act as foolish as a disobedient child.
Just as a parent sets commands for protection of child so God for man.

Does not He tell us to come to Him as a little child?
Then why do you resist?

Just come and you will see.
