See You At The Pole.

Ah yes...that time of the year when the teenagers of the nation climb out of their comfort shells, if only for a minutes, to gather together as believers in Christ to join in prayer for fellow students, teachers, school, and nation. Though it may only be a short time of "public" actions to share their faith, it must be credited for them to do this.

I, unfortunately, am like many of these students. We become cowering quakes of a form when asked about their faith, to give a prayer, or anything to do with religion. But why all the nervousness?

I see this national crisis as a lack of bonds. There seems to be no ties between the Christians of the schools. But what we must see is that we can most definitely not take the school by our own individualities. Even if we confront God with an asking heart of spiritual victory we are still lacking the positive of fellowship. Without this, we are hopeless.

Granted, God still may and will work in miraculous ways at school or wherever your battleground is. But we humans cannot function without the support of others and team work.

I am planning to propose this idea to all who attend the SYATP Rally tomorrow morning. What will be asked is this; that we all bond together and agree that this world is failing. That we cannot do this alone. And that if we attempt to reach others, we will most likely fail.

This, my friends, is what I see as a need for us. To fight together with God as our fuel and strength and our friends as our comrades.

Dead in Deadly Eyes.

To the World I am dead.
One who is a drone among the other dead drones.
I have no purpose to the World except that to inch the World ever further to its own demise.
I eat, then die.
With some cracks of a few smiles, I drudge on to my fate of the grave.
Minus a few minor happenings, my life has no grandiose encounters of joy, whatsoever.
Yet, even the minor happenings are only that of a short season.
To the World all my works should be displayed only under a thick carpet.
I have no name.
Nor do I have a vision.
Though the World may try to teach me otherwise, their joyless faces show that they too are dead in speaking lies.

But to Him who lives...

..as do I.
For my life is not a shriveled piece of snake skin.
It is, in fact, a powder keg of joy and Truth of which I pray that may ablaze those who are dead to the World.

New Stuff

This is probably, in contrast to all previous posts, a very informal entry. I suppose the others, perhaps, are a bit dry and in too broad of a spectrum.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to share in a more relaxed tone tonight.

Tomorrow, I better speak to the Spanish teacher at the school. I'll need to take a quite crash course on the language. As you know (my only reader...PM...*cough*) we'll be heading for Mexico this summer. I am much excited about this.

Not only will this empower me with a small, yet larger than Toledo, view of what those in the world must face daily, it will, I believe will also encourage me in my faith and my upcoming years as an adult in the career and/or ministry field. Just look what happened at the last missions trip I attended!

(plus, won't San Diego be nice that time of year?)
